Fourth Time

For the fourth time, ARRI has featured some of DOP
Ahmad Al
Morsy's works in a video of its production where
best shots
taken by the ALEXA and AMIRA cameras are shown. Al
Morsy was
featured in the video through some scenes from his
ad for WE
Communications 'Indigo Plus'featuring star Ahmed Ezz
which aired
in November, 2018.
The ARRI Camera Showreel 2019 highlights some of the
finest
images over the past year. Featuring some of the
most recognized
recent films and cutting-edge commercials, the
showreel takes
its audience on a visual journey around the world.
It includes
scenes from distinguished Hollywood films of 2018,
such as Roma,
the winner of the Academy Awards for Best Director
and Best
Cinematography, as well as Cold War, A Star is Born,
and
Marvel's Captain Marvel.

Al Morsy is a member of the Australian
Cinematographers Society
(ACS) and the Canadian Society of Cinematographers
(CSC). For
more than twenty years, DOP/Director Ahmad Al Morsy
has been
working in the filmmaking industry making more than
50 films and
over 2000 TV ads as a DOP, and recently as a
director as well.
Throughout his career, Al Morsy won eleven awards
for six of his
films. As a director, his repertoire extends to
include more
than ten commercials. As for TV commercials, Al
Morsy became one
of the most important cameramen in the Arab world
due to his
passion in experimenting with new tools in more than
2000 ads in
Egypt, Morocco, UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Spain, U.K.,
and France.
This is the fourth time for Al Morsy to be featured
in a video
of ARRI's best camera users as his project for the
Union
National Bank was selected as the main ad for its
showreel
presentation at IBC Expo 2015 that featured videos
that have
been filmed using ALEXA and AMIRA cameras in 2015
and in 2016
within The Looks of ALEXA video that features Al
Morsy's
Ministry of Electricity TV commercial; Enta El Hall,
in addition
to the ad for L'azurde. ARRI also featured his work
in Al
Aslyeen film, Vodafone's 4G Geel Bykamel Geel (A
Generation
Leads Another) commercial campaign, Pharco, and
Angham's music
video An Farh Ghyeb in their camera showreel in
2017.
Most recently, Al Morsy won three Best
Cinematography Awards at
the Egyptian Cinema Film Association Festival, the
British
University in Cairo, and the Egyptian Cinema
Syndicate for his
film Diamond Dust. In addition, he wrapped shooting
The Blue
Elephant 2 by director Marwan Hamed. Al Morsy joined
a team of
professional expeditions in a first-time unearthing
of a
Pharaonic tomb that streamed live on Discovery
Channel under a
special titled "Expedition Unknown: Egypt Live". The
special
streaming was headlined by a number of Hollywood's
select
producers; the two-time Emmy Award winner Leslie
Greif,
Executive Producer of Big Dreams Entertainment;
Discovery
Studios' Executive Producers Peter Isacksen (The
Munsters
Today),and Steve Beim (Super Bowl 2016.

AlEXA
cameras have been used by a number of Oscars-awarded
films
forBest Achievement in Cinematography such as Hugo

Alejandro G.
Iñárritu, and Gravity and Roma by Alfonso Cuarón.
